Applescal Leone Highway EP

Leone Highway, a two-track EP, arrived in the same amount of time it might take another knob-twiddler to get back in the studio, period. After surging open with the title track’s acid-dipped Balearic bounce, the release gently turns down with the digitized menace of “Isomethyl.” by Spin

Dutch producer, Pascal Terstappen aka Applescal is back with a new piece called “Leone Highway.” The new single is set to be released by the end of the month, and it’s accompanied with a B-side track titled “Isomethyl.”

Just like Pascal’s previous productions, we’re facing another stunning piece of melodic sounds that naturally guides us into some sort of progressive state of euphoria. We’re truly addicted by that fantastic synth-line, carefully embellished along its progression, and curated with an immense assorted of samples.

Leone Highway” is created in the time that I moved back to the Netherlands last summer. It took me a long time to start writing music again after For, my last album. This EP is mostly inspired on traveling, clubbing and a specific festival I went to in the U.K., called the Secret Garden Party. Had loads of fun there and when I came back home after that weekend I sat down and wrote the ideas of these two songs — in a mood to create club music again.”
