Sau Poler – A Soundless Echo
'Rutes features plenty of dancefloor-appropriate rhythms and often brings to mind the organic production style of Four Tet, the relaxed attitude and unhurried bassline which support the song's haunting vocals and dusty synth work also give it a bit of a new age slant.'' By XLR8R
Sau Poler is from Badalona, a little town on the outskirts of Barcelona. He started making music one year ago as a way to explore his needs and to have some fun. Influenced by all sorts of genres (mainly hiphop and electronica) and artists like Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, Four Tet and Bonobo. Early spring 2013, he managed to finish his debut EP ‘A Soundless Echo’, and we’re happy to present that to you here.
When making the songs for ‘A Soundless Echo‘, Poler tried to get in a mood that inspired him. ”It can come from a sample, a distant melody inside my head, whatever..” He wants to express emotion in his work cause, as he explains himself: ”It’s the main thing or it’s what makes me comfortable and in the right zone. I can’t classify my music into genres, I just follow what makes me feel right.”
